With Government increasing the price of Diesel, LPG Gas and Kerosene on Friday. Which was quite evitable that there may be increase in some of the transportation services cost too.
This time it was not the auto union who has planned to increase their minimum fares from 17/- to 20/- which they had plans before. Now it was time it was the turn of the KSRTC and BMTC to increase their bus fares and passes.
BMTC has decided to increase the price by 5% (upto Rs.2 ), with KSRTC deciding to raise between 5 - 8% on different categories of buses. BMTC has also decided to increase the price of daily passes by Rs. 5/- with immediate affect. However, there was no increase in minimum fares.
| Daily Passes | Past you paid | Now you will pay |
| Daily Pass (General) | Rs. 35 | Rs 40 |
| Daily Pass (General without identity proof) | Rs 40 | Rs. 45 |
| Vajra Daily Pass | Rs 85 | Rs. 90 |
Here you go Railways have decided to increase their fares by 5%-10% across all the trains, This price increase is due to the increase in diesel in prices which has affected the Railways also.
